You could be sentencing your dog or cat to serious medical problems by not spaying and neutering.

Found A Stray?

Visit this site for information on what to do.

ARF does not pick up stray dogs, cats, puppies, or kittens. The City of Tulsa will pick up strays and some other rescue groups might assist you. Go to for a list of area breed and rescue groups.

Don't Litter!

It is against Tulsa pet ordinances for you to have a dog or cat older than 6 months that is not spayed or neutered.

Please help us save more dogs from being destroyed at kill shelters by spaying and neutering your pets. Unless you are a licensed breeder, you should not have an intact dog or cat. Be part of the solution instead of part of the problem!

What Parents and Children Should Know!

If you are adopting a dog or already have a pet in the house, please look at this video (Preventing Dog Bites to Kids) to prevent your child and pet from injury and heartbreak. Did you know that 77 percent of all dog bites happen with family pets or with pets belonging to friends? Watch and learn.

Sidra the broken dog

We rescued Sidra from the Tulsa shelter. She was hit by a car and has a badly crushed hind leg that will have to be removed and a severely broken pelvis that needs to be pinned back together.

She's a young, sweet dog and we want her to have a good chance at a loving home.

The surgery will cost $2,500, so we're asking our ARF supporters and dog lovers to chip in. Even if you can only donate $5 or $10, it will help us offset this expense.

We appreciate your assistance in giving this broken baby a new chance at a wonderful life.

Donate by clicking on the "donate bone" or send us a check to our post office box!

Learn About ARF!

Thanks to the Girl Scouts (especially Andrea Chandler and Ashley Woods) for making this video! It's outstanding and gives great information about the ARF adoption process and how to make your new pet feel right at home.

Ashley Midgette, ARF House manager and adoption counselor, invites everyone to stop by the ARF House and see our new digs.

We have room for 12 to 15 animals to show, and we have bathing facilities and an excellent environment for meet-and-greets for potential adoptions.
