Did you know that some communities, such as Denver and Boulder, have a waiting list of people who want to adopt dogs? That's because their spay/neuter program has been so successful that they have managed to reduce their homeless pet population to the point where dogs are brought in to be adopted from kill shelters, such as Tulsa's.

Frankly, Tulsa and the whole state of Oklahoma is woefully neglectful when it comes to taking care of our pets. We allow puppy mills to flourish in our state and we allow animal auctions where dogs and puppies are bought and used for breeding and sometimes even as "bait" dogs for dogs that are still bred for fighting in this state.

Meet Kristin! Is there any dog more adorable than a brussells griffon? No wonder they are used in lots of movies. (Remember "As Good As It Gets" with Jack Nicholson and that cute little griffy Vernell who was the real star of that film?) Here's your chance to fall in love with your very own griffy. Kristin is about 10 lbs., red, and she is 7 years old. She was rescued from a breeder. Click here if you're interested in reading more about her.

Meet Jade! Jade is a female, 8lb, black pomeranian. She is about 3 years old and quite shy. Gorgeous Jade will need someone who is patient and has a gentle touch. Meet Mooshy! This sweet terrier mix is about 2 years old and she is very shy because she has never had a home before. She needs a place without young children and with another dog or two.
